Continuing on with project cats I was lucky enough to photograph a house full of Sphynx. These are one of my all time favourite cats so I was so excited not just at the chance to photograph some but to actually meet one too. They are so amazing, almost like little people with such wonderful fun temperaments. So confident and full of energy, I wanted to sneak a few home with me. Thank you to http://www.sphynxstar.webs.com/ for this wonderful opportunity. I cant wait to return. |

With "project cats" I came across Boots and Bonnie. As you can see Boots came as a very polished model - the diva of cat modelling. I would be standing looking for my next prop/setting, you would then look for Boots but she had taken off to do her thing. It only took one holler "Boooooots" and she would race inside with a look of "Im here, were do you want me? Lets roll". Bonnie on the other hand was very very shy and hid under the bed to stay clear of strangers. But I managed to get one. |

As you all know I am filling my portfolio with cats. When I put out a call for cat models I was contacted by Jennifer who mentioned she had 12 of all different breeds. I wondered why someone would have so many cats but it all made sense when I packed up my car and headed to Peiradise - Paradise for Rescued Shar Pei. I was greeted by 12 Peis all at my feet wanting to say hello and get a pat. Jennifer formed Peiradise to save Shar Pei in pounds or shelters, and since has taken in a few cats too who need a home. How would I describe Jennifer? Passionate (tick), compassionate (tick), kind (tick) and to some people alittle dog crazy (tick). The Shar Pei is an ancient breed who were bred as guard dogs and who rely on human interaction. The breed do not cope well in shelter environments and Jen opens her home to keep these guys safe until they can find new loving homes. These dogs have a fab life living on this big beautiful property with Jennifer's constant attention and devotion - it really gives you a sense of realism to "rescue" and why people do it. Jen thank you so much for opening your home to me and my camera. You're an amazing person with a heart of gold. If anyone is interested helping Jen in giving a loving animal a home or want to know more about what she does. You can find her on Facebook under Peiradise - Paradise for Rescued Shar Pei or email peiradise@bigpond.com |

Introducing Mer and Simon for another bathroom shoot. Mer is one of my favourite people in the whole wide world. Visiting from New York at Christmas I asked if she would do a shoot with me as I knew Mer would look amazing on camera. We filled the spa bath with 3 very large bubble bath bottles and hit the jets (I might of hit the jets a little too soon and drenched Mer fully clothed). Simon was enjoying the heat and relaxed a little too much were we thought he might sink into the bubbles. Thank you to my very beautiful bestie...... you look amazing and Si well you're just so cute with your blue steel looks in sync with Merrin. Love you both.
Sadly it's time to say good bye to the bathroom and this will be my final shoot. Thank you to all the beautiful ladies who help and participated in the series. I have very much appreciated and enjoyed every one. |

Meet Buddy a gorgeous 8 month Burmese kitten. I am doing a cat project to fill my portfolio with some more cats due to various image request for more cats from me. I really don't know why I don't work with cats more as I find them so much fun. Buddy's owner contacted me when they knew I was looking for cats. When I walked into Buddy's home I was overwhelmed with such a lovely family. They were so excited to have Buddy photographed and he was a bit excited all the attention was on him. Buddy was such a little acrobatic rocket and I think I missed a few shots from laughing so hard at him and his clowning. Thank you so much to Julie & Billy for letting me into your home and helping me photograph such a cute character. I look forward to returning when Bud is older. |

Meet the very gorgeous Morgan and Oscar the Maremma Sheepdog. Morgan contacted me applying for the bathroom project and as soon as I saw a picture of her I was like "hell yes" you are part of this project..... talk about one very stunning young lady. Oscar was kindly borrowed from some every kind people. We were a bit worried how Oscar would go as this breed does prefer to be in familiar surroundings and protective dogs. Well, Oscar was fantastic. He just sat for us - we worked around him not pushing him for anything and he gave us these gorgeous images. Thank you to Morgan and Oscar, you were fabulous. I hope to work with you again one day Morgan. |

Di and Max |

Introducing the very beautiful couple inside and out Di and Max. Di is another talented photographer that specialises in the same area as me in Pet Photography. We met through the world of social networking of Facebook. Talked on email and phone alot (she is one of the most supportive photographers I know and always willing to help and share information). We have never had the chance to actually meet each other and finally the planets aligned and we ended up at this beautiful location for a bathroom shoot together. Ok so this is not your traditional bathroom.... but the scene was just too perfect. Max and Di have this amazing relationship. Max is coming up 17 years old and for Di this was a special shoot of them together. I know what it feels like to have a dog taken from you and never have a memory of photo's so with some of these I wanted to just capture a bond. They both worked the camera so well. Di was so delightful to work with and really relaxed.... would you believe this lady is nearly 47 years old? Di, Thank you for your time and dedication to the shoot - it was ridiculously hot and we had insect everywhere but you powered through for me. I had a great time and all the country boys driving pass yelling "whooohoo hot" at us Im sure they are still recovering from it too. |

Meet the lovely Fran and Tyson the Neo Mastiff - another bathroom project. Tyson has only been with his new owner for 3 months and his training is still undergoing. His lovely owner was unsure if we would get anything from him as he is still a big bouncy puppy. Well Tyson, you were a star. Ty and Fran suited perfectly together and they were both a delight to work with. Fran was very unsure about all of this and I could see she was a touch nervous at first. I knew she would be great as her look is so unique. Once we got going Fran was amazing to work with. Afterwards Fran said to me she had so much fun and didn't want the shoot to stop. I am very happy that my model felt relaxed enough with myself to say that as it is very confronting situation for most people. Thanks Fran and Ty you both rock the house. |

Meet the very lovely Pascall and Squarlie. Two Cornish Rexes that a friend recently rescued. As you can see this family is very into halloween and thought no better time to come over and photograph two very fitting cats while halloween celebrations were in full swing. I have a serious soft spot for Rexes. They are one of the best cats to photograph, not your average cat - almost dog like in personalities - just so divine. I want one! |

First up is Ralph and Cindy. You might recognise these two from previous shoots were my sister has modelled for me. This is very out of character for Cindy. But if you are born into the serenah photography family you get use to all the craziness of my world. Cindy is one of my favourite people to photograph because as you can see she is very photogenic. Ralph was one polished little model. He knew right from the time Cindy was getting ready that he was about to be on stage. He came in did his thing and left. You just have to love that little guy. |
